Two Warren council members say lobbyists trying to influence medical marijuana law

Heated debate over medical marijuana regulations in Warren has grown hotter, with two officials complaining lobbyists are trying to influence the outcome and turn the city into a pot “mecca.”

The City Council recently delayed its decision on whether to override another veto by Mayor James Fouts involving the city’s medical marijuana facilities ordinance. That postponement was triggered by Councilman Scott Stevens’ formal request that council reconsider its previous passage of changes to the law.
