LEONI TWP., MI – In one of its more cordial discussions regarding medical marijuana, the Leoni Township Board of Trustees made several changes to its ordinance on Tuesday.
While most changes place more restrictions on medical marijuana businesses, one change allows for facilities to be slightly closer to schools, day-care centers and churches.
All six changes proposed at the Sept. 18 special meeting were passed. They are:
- Reduce the number of township licenses for dispensaries from 15 to six, through attrition.
- Alter the way buffer zones are measured between medical marijuana facilities and schools, day-care centers and churches.
