INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — The movement to legalize medical marijuana in Indiana took on new momentum Saturday after lawmakers, veterans and local citizens gathered for a cannabis town hall downtown.

Nearly 100 people showed up for the town all at the Indiana State Library.

Republican State Rep. Jim Lucas is a vocal supporter of legalizing medical marijuana.

“I want to decriminalize cannabis in the state of Indiana,” said Lucas. “That’s my ultimate goal. I’ll just come out and say it. Medically, recreationally, there’s no reason that Hoosier adults can’t be trusted to enjoy something responsibly that dozens of other states are doing across the more at
