Rock County seeing fewer cases with synthetic cannabinoid use

BELOIT – Rock County authorities are seeing a decrease in the amount of synthetic cannabinoid use in the last year.

Rock County Sheriff’s Office Commander Troy Knudson said the synthetic drugs were a significant problem for the county from late last year to earlier this year. However, he estimates cases have decreased over the last few months.

“We’re hoping the usage is tapering off, (but) we can’t be any less vigilant with the drug,” Knudson said.
